About Us

Drainspotting (the site) is the brainchild of Josh and Cam Larios.

Josh is a veteran of the dotcom boom and bust. He works for The University of Washington now, which is much better than the startups. He does stuff like this in his spare time. He enjoys digital photography and manhole covers, hence the site. His other site is elsewhere.org.

Cam hasn't written a mini-bio yet, but the whole thing was her idea to begin with. She has a web site: sculpin.com.

Drainspotting (the hobby) is kind of like trainspotting, only without the name recognition. Look down next time you're walking through a city. Check out the metal work at foot-level. Some of it is pretty cool.
